Safe manual scraping, never jet washing
Plenty of companies blast a roof with a pressure washer because it is quick. It is also one of the worst things you can do to it. High pressure strips the protective surface off the tiles, can crack or dislodge them and forces water up under the laps.
We do it the proper way. Moss is removed by hand using specialist scraping tools, so the tile surface is protected. Once the roof is clear and the gutters are cleaned out, we apply a biocide treatment that breaks down remaining spores and keeps working over the following months.
